Argentina Update - 15th of July, 2021

Rorshok's weekly ten-minute update of stuff happening in Argentina. Reasons to cheer were plentiful for the Argentine people - their men’s national football won the coveted Copa América behind Angel Di Maria’s lone goal. Also finding their target, the administration of 30 million successful COVID-19 vaccinations. While struggles with re-entry due to mandatory quarantine periods continue, COVID restrictions within the country are loosening, with cultural events expecting an attendance cap of 1,000 beginning next month. In other news agricultural producers are demanding an end to a quota on meat exports, while the farming sector also questions the recent nationalization of the Paraná-Paraguay River waterway, the main route of navigation to the sea for ships transporting grains, oils and flours.
